#Janathon Day 31: Sunday Long Run

There we go folks, it’s a wrap. 31 days of consecutive running, sensible eating and no drinking. It’s been great.

This morning, I met up with my clubmates at Westport Lake as planned. The rain was pouring, the ducks were fighting and the geese making a racket as we set off. It had been raining all night and only a mile and a half into our run, we found our route blocked by flood waters. And so began our magical mystery tour of the north of Stoke-on-Trent. Fortunately one of our number had a phone about their person, and we were able to navigate our way via google maps through lanes and disused railway lines around 12 mile route (Movescount). I am now shattered but happy. The scores on the doors are….

#Janathon 2016 Stats
Total Miles = 140.34
Total KM = 225.86
Total Calories = 16,920
Average KM Day = 7.29

Equivalents
Boots Meal Deals = 16.75
Greggs Steak & Cheese Rolls = 49.87
Lazy Lunchtime Trips Total = 12.53
Days Worth Calories = 8.46
Journeys to Work = 10.80
10Ks = 22.59

Maximum Weekly Total = 36.56 miles, 4,385 Calories
Daily Average Total = 4.53 Miles, 546 Calories

To sum up, I feel great (despite the tiredness), I’m almost a stone thinner (with a little help from Slimming World), have been sleeping better and my mind is clear and alert. #Janathon reminds you that if you put your mind to something, don’t get carried away and keep your goals in sharp focus, you can and will succeed. The months ahead will throw challenges my way… some I already know about, some will reveal themselves in due course, such is life. Now for an afternoon on the sofa, a cuppa and a nap. Thanks for reading 🙂
