#Janathon Day 17: Snow Day

Today the family woke up to a couple of inches of snow – not much I know, but considering the freakishly warm winter we’ve had to date, this was something of a happening. It was snow day! by 9:30 is was appeared that the thaw was on it’s way, so we opted to get out there, go for a walk and enjoy the scenery whilst we could. We walked to Trentham Gardens, threw snowballs at each other and had delicious coffee. It was a lot of fun.

Take That, Lake!!!

After lunch, I needed to #Janathon. There was no sunday long run organised this week, so posted my plans on in an online chat to my running clubmates. My friend Nicola took me up and we met a the club at 3. Hitting the canal, it was clear that the thaw had only gone so far… most of the path was muddy slush, so we sloshed and splattered merrily along, chatting and shrieking every time a blob of ice went down our sock. We ran just short of seven ten-minute miles (Movescount) and had a great time.

I now need to do the ironing (groan) but feel refreshed and ready for the week ahead!
