#Juneathon: Day 12 – A Token Gesture

Definition: An action or a decision that is so small or inconsequential as to be only symbolic. It’s a bit like when you have as new colleague and it’s their birthday. You don’t know them very well, hardly at all really, but you want to be nice so you buy them a birthday card. It’s a nod in the right direction, a consideration, it doesn’t take much effort but does the job.

It’s been a week of short runs, but Sunday is the Potters ‘Arf Marathon, A hilly stinker of a course but a route that is always well supported and rewarding. Running wife Em’s will be back from her holidays, so we will once again be a training duo and treating it as a Sunday long run, even running home afterwards. But I have restless Juneathon legs that are telling me to rest, so that’s what tonight’s 1.66 mile #Juneathon effort (Movescount) was… A token gesture.
