#Juneathon Day 11 – No Rest for the Wicked

Today we were back to running club fresh from our half marathon exploits. Pickles, our Men’s team captain had a top ten finish, and the ladies (the real stars of Trentham) scored a second, third and fourth place. Everyone has had time to digest their performances,  everyone was happy, and there was a buzz about the club as we gathered.

We were counting on Crazy Walt to give us a break tonight, but no such luck. In hindsight, if I’d know we were going to go blasting about Hancurch pools and woods, I would have driven to club rather than run, but Walter likes to keep these things secret… Off we ran, into the evening sun. Many of us proudly wore our ‘Arf technical tee’s, but soon wished we’d worn vests, as it has hotter than we’d imagined. The clouds parted, the wind dropped and the sun shone.

It was a tough #Juneathon run, but well worth it. I have since spent the evening setting up a device for Trenthamfolk Junior’s birthday in a few days… and almost forgot to blog! Tonight I ran another 9.5 miles, and whilst not quite feeling epic, I’m feeling OK. My world-rank.in has also improved, to 38th out of 14,858 runners… Perhaps I’m getting a little obsessed?
